Location. The Avalon Hotel is a design hotel located in Gothenburg, Sweden, within one kilometre of the city theatre, opera house, and stadium. The nearest train station is 600 metres away.
Hotel Features. Situated off the main boulevard, Avenyn, this city hotel has a contemporary glass exterior with neon lit features. There is a rooftop swimming pool, onsite restaurant and bar, wine tasting room, and lounge with fireplace where complimentary newspapers are offered. Staff at the 24 hour front desk can assist with services such as currency exchange and dry cleaning facilities. Conference rooms are available, along with complimentary wireless Internet access.

The Avalon restaurant and bar serves light snacks and à la carte menus daily. Complimentary buffet breakfast is served daily at the Avalon Hotel.

Guestrooms. Decorated in contemporary earthy tones with light wood furnishings, all the air conditioned guestrooms include flatscreen satellite television with DVD and CD players, and a separate sitting area. Distance to Avalon Hotel is 25 kilometres, approximately 25 minutes' drive.

Getting there. A shuttle bus runs between the airport and central Gothenburg, and a single ticket costs 80 SEK. The shuttle bus stops outside the hotel. During peak hours, buses run every 15 minutes. Buses number 615 and 616 travel to nearby towns, including Rävlanda and Landvetter. Taxis are available from outside the airport and the fare to central Gothenburg is around 325 SEK. Prices are sometimes fixed, so check before departing. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Walking is the best way to explore central Gothenburg. Trams and buses are available throughout the city, and integrated daily tickets can be used on trams, buses, and ferries. Centralstationen Göteborg station is 600 metres from the hotel.

Driving directions. Depart Gothenburg Landvetter Airport.
Follow the signposts to Gothenburg and continue for about 160 metres.
Turn right onto Boråsleden 40.
Follow the signs towards Centrum.
Leave 40 Exit no70 Kallebäcksmotet E20/E6.
Follow signs to Gårda S.
Leave for Exit no71 Örgrytemotet E20/E6.
Keep to your left Örgrytevägen.
Turn left at the roundabout Södra Vägen.
Turn left onto Nya Allén.
Turn right at Raoul Wallenbergs gata.
