The Scandic Örnsköldsvik is a modern four storey hotel located close to the E4 motorway, situated two kilometres from Örnsköldsvik Harbour and city centre. This four floor property features 103 guestrooms decorated in light contemporary Scandinavian style with wooden floors and colourful furnishings including sofas. All include televisions with pay movies, trouser presses, clock radios and hairdryers. Free wireless Internet access is available in some rooms.
The hotel restaurant, Bistro Höga Kust features a fireplace centrepiece and serves traditional Swedish fare and European specialities, as well as a special menu and pancake breakfasts for children. Guests enjoy complimentary use of the hotel's relaxation area, comprising a sauna, indoor pool, exercise room and solarium (surcharge). Children will be kept busy in the playroom which is stocked with videos, toys and games, and at check in kids receive a surprise gift. Free wireless Internet access is available throughout the public areas of the hotel for guests to check emails or plan sightseeing activities. The hotel has conference facilities for up to 120 people, seven meeting rooms and business services. Parking on site is free. A taxi to the hotel costs approximately SEK 200. A bus runs from the airport to the city centre shortly after flight arrivals and then leaves the bus station in town one hour before flights depart. A hire car would be recommended to make the most of a trip to the area.
